SUMMARY:

Intervenor Compensation is a program offered by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) that provides the opportunity to request retroactive funding for time and expenses incurred by a qualifying individual or customer group that appears before the Commission as an active party to a proceeding, representing consumer interests. The request must demonstrate that the intervenor made a “substantial contribution” to the Final Decision in the proceeding and the request is reviewed and approved by the full Commission.
