SUMMARY:

NDIA has launched a new version of our California residential broadband map. The map has several unique features, among them:

• It brings data on broadband availability, service speed and adoption into a single interface.
• It allows for comparing change over the years.
• It compares advertised and actual speeds (based on Ookla data) at census block group level (or larger).
• It measures ISP competition at different speed tiers (25/3, 100/20, fiber).
• It includes information on geographies other than those provided by the census bureau, such as cities and tribal communities.
